Hello Holus Lotus friends, today I come again with a reflective post as usual, and I want to write about accepting our past and let go of guilt and remorse.
I know that for most of us dealing with frustration is not easy at all and more because we live in a society where we must always meet, achieve goals and win but in reality we do not always achieve our goals and this although we do not like it is part of human life.
Without further ado, I hope this post is to your liking.

reviewing our past
Often in retrospect we may judge ourselves harshly for our actions in the past, questioning ourselves for our past decisions and attitudes believing that if we had done things differently things in the present would be different.
However, it is important to remember that in each moment of our lives we acted based on what we knew at the time and could not have done otherwise.
From this understanding we can free ourselves from the weight of guilt and remorse by accepting our past in order to be at peace with our present.
It may be difficult to talk about our past for many reasons but mainly it is because we still unconsciously punish ourselves for our behaviors believing many things without really realizing that those events only live in our mind and not in others.
Going to our past and accepting it may be difficult because we still let it condition us, however it is not forgetting but accepting that what is past is past.
Accepting that we did the best we could with the tools we had at the time allows us to look at ourselves with compassion and forgive ourselves because many times we are very hard and unforgiving with ourselves believing that we must always comply with everything but in the end we must comply is us.
At one point while I was in therapy I understood that my past was loaded with a lot of guilt because I was always telling myself things like: I could have done better, because I didn't defend myself, because I kept quiet, if I had tried among other things more, and it was difficult to accept that my past was loaded with many over demands that I had with myself for always wanting to be the best and after several therapies I understood that I was only looking for recognition and approval.
Many times when we overload ourselves and demand so much from ourselves, deep down what we want is to be taken into account because we want to prove our value.
Reviewing our past is always necessary to free ourselves and accept ourselves, leaving guilt aside and learning from our mistakes, knowing that none of us comes with a manual on how to be better children, better parents, better at everything, and yes, we really wish we didn't make so many mistakes but in the end making mistakes teaches us that we are all human and we are learning to live.
Learning to accept ourselves and leave perfectionism behind leads us to humility and to see ourselves as equals, understanding that everyone acts according to their level of conscience and that we all have a past that we must review in order to leave behind guilt and remorse and accept that our mistakes are our greatest teachers.
