Friends. I start this last posting of my walk showing a "stilt house." You can find out what a stilt house is here at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stilt_house
This house has been here for several years. I remember when it sold at one time for one hundred and fifty thousand US Dollars. It would be worth much more than that now. More than double would be my guess.
It is located across the street from the Friendship Center.
But for now. I want to start this post from where I stopped the last time. Much can be found and seen when we walk, rather than ride. It is so comforting to our souls to see nature and mankind in harmony together. I show some the parking area. Lots of big shade trees for summer cooling of vehicles and buildings.
The south entrance to the main building. It is a huge building by local standards.
Some strong columns have stood the test of strong hurricane force winds over the years.
Still standing strong.
Another building on the complex. It must have been built when land was plentiful.
Building lots and land is at a premium now. Very few building lots that are in close to the commerce centers are available at any price. Any land designation changes will be met with stiff resistance.
The beauty of this area that once was has already been somewhat destroyed. That is so sad.
It seems that the whole world wants to move here. lol
We have owned property here since 1993. It was a very different place then. I have seen the overbuilding destruction. All for dollars.
Why not spread out a little. In the army they would say. "Spread out". One round will get you all.
That is true.
This is the main entrance. It is on the north side. No worries about cold winter wind blasts. Ha
Garage and tool building.
The main entrance into the property.
This property is located next to the canal and bicycle trail. The shade trees in the summer are priceless.
Pet waste station.
Oh no. I have to walk back to home. Well. At least it was a very scenic walk back.
There are a few houses next to the trail. Very few. Less than a dozen that are close.
I wanted to buy the one next to the Federal Land. Last house on the dead end street.
But, we didn't. It is still there though. Next to the one in this photo.
That finishes my walk and posting for this time. I left a lot out. Nearly as much as I posted.
But this should give you enough to have some idea of what I see in my close walks.
Steemit Friends.
You know it is the Christmas season. Sorry. That is what it is to me.
It may be some other season for you. That is OK.
It has always been Christmas to me for a long time. Since I was born.
And it will always be Christmas to me. The happiest time of the year.
And with that understanding. I offer this video/song for you to consider.
Without Christmas. This doesn't exit. Think of what we would miss......................
