Friends. It is with some sadness that I am changing the "green iron horse" to lifting things, rather than mowing.
For I know that another growing season is past and ole man winter is fast approaching.
You can see in the photo above that the mower has been removed from the tractor.
And you can see the accumulated weeds and dust as well on the back of the tractor.
It has been a busy summer and fall. I have finally finished most of what I had to get done.
The photo below is showing what we started with. What a mess.
When we mow in tall weeds and grass. That is what we get on the mower. Ugh
We are going to the barn on the hill. Do you see any cedar trees. Ha
I have always liked the cedar trees. It makes me think of Christmas. We always used cedar trees for our Christmas tree. And I just love the smell. It is so refreshing.
You can see that I have removed the mower from the tractor. And I set the mower on cedar posts.
I wanted to eliminate moisture and rust as much as possible. That will help with the air circulation.
One note here for you that I like. The junk will be moving soon. Let the junk be where junk should be. In the owners possession. I don't like junk. lol
Let's take a little tour before we leave the hill. Cedar logs that came out of the fence row.
That means possible wire in them. My neighbor wants them. I will have lots of logs as I clear the fence rows.
Sinkhole brush. That was a lot of work for me. I am glad to be finished with that too.
Some little poles and logs from the fence row. My neighbor can have them too. I will have many more or them.
I don't like to look at the photo below. I will have to work on that. Ugh
What a view. It makes the labor worth it for me.
Back to the homestead hill. Have a look at "The Plug." I like him. He is just like a big ole dog.
He doesn't do anything. He just walks around and eats. Ha
So I had to put the hay lifter on the tractor for him. And for the old mare as well.
The lifter is used to move the big bales of hay. The hay in the hay rack is not good.
They will need better hay. We are ready to move it now.
Friends. That ends my post and entry for you today. I hope you have enjoyed looking at some of my work that I do.
It isn't hard to me. I just love to see progress being made on the hill. That is so interesting and pleasing to me.
I hope you have enjoyed it too.
Let's add the Steemit logo here. That is what brings us all together. Would you help me to build Steemit up too?
I am adding whatever I can to bring Steemit to greatness.
Friends. We can do it if we will just believe.
