Don’t you just love Facebook memories when they smack you in the face and make you go wtf???

I’ve had two absolute crackers within days of each other and talk about a wake up call.

I was a bridesmaid in both, the first was my twin sister’s wedding and the second my former best friend. In both I was big. I was close to my heaviest in each and so incredibly uncomfortable. I felt fat, self conscious and like an embarrassment. Didn’t help that on both occasions, the other bridesmaids were skinny, so I stood out like a sore thumb.

These dresses were both a size 30 which is just mind blowing. Fast forward a few years and I’ve just hit the lowest weight I’ve been at for a good 20 years. I’m under 100kgs, and not just under, 2.5kgs under. This is huge for me. I’ve been stuck at over 100kg for a while and had convinced myself this was obviously where I belonged.

I’m so happy with myself. I haven’t given up, even though I’ve been working at it for over 3 years now. Helps that I’ve got some good people supporting me, makes all the difference!

Next goal is under 90kgs but either way, I know I’ll never go back to the 160+kg person I once was.
