I find a sense of calm and comfort in being outside in nature. I feel at home and everything is put into perspective.

Today I took myself up Mount Ainslie. I needed to escape with my thoughts for a couple of hours and it definitely helped me clarify a few things I’d been stewing on for the past week or so.

I’ve been questioning so much and being able to be outside, on my own and free of distractions, has helped no end. It hit me that I just need to be. I have this need to control what happens and then get really shitty and down when things don’t go how I expect them to. I also suck at speaking up for myself and quite often settle for how I’m treated, because I hate conflict.

So for now, I’m letting things be and just focusing on climbing those mountains in front of me and chipping away at my goals.
