It has been a really nice day today. One to take advantage of, and we did just that.
After cleaning around the house this morning, Frankie and I decided to head outside to enjoy the warm weather and sun!
We took out her bike for the first time this year and what a happy kid she was! We got the dogs ready on this mighty fine Friday and away we went.馃榿
There is still some snow as you can see but it won't be here much longer. Tomorrow will be 15 celcius and the day after is calling for the same but with rain. There won't be much snow left if there is anything at all.
When we came back from our walk, I took out some chalk and the skipping ropes for some creative fun.
As Frankie got artsy fartsy, I grabbed the rope and started skipping away. Do you know how long it has been since I touched one of those things??? Maybe about 15 yrs ago! I did have fun with it. 馃槤
I got a little workout with that! It wasn't too much and I can say that going outside with this nice weather has been absolutely amazing on my lungs. I have coughed at least half of the amount that I have been. What a relief.
It seems like things are really looking up health wise when it comes to days like today. I hope that this continues more often than not.
It has been so nice that Danny had to, just had to start his bike. Just to hear it I suppose. He sat Frankie on his bike and showed her how to rev it up. When she figured it out, she even surprised herself with the sound it make. The more she pulled the louder it got!
Then the other two kids arrived and as soon as they got off the bus, they ran for their bikes and peddled away as much as they could for supper.
Ok, so I didn't a picture of supper, I know I should have because he was a feast for a supper! Well, not really just felt like it in our stomachs. We took out the charcoal and had blue cheese burgers, the kids had hot dogs, with asparagus and cheesy baked potatoes with chives. Oh man, I forgot how good that was. Sorry for the teaser and not showing a picture. Just imagine the smell of a charcoal BBQ _
Enjoy the day and grasp every beautiful thing there is out there!
