The constant change of the scenery is the most obvious and anticipated characteristic of a road trip. And when you are in an island so diverse and so beautiful as Crete, every day can be a new experience!

This is the morning of September 14th, the second day of a trip that is still going on, through a constant flow of events and circumstances that has taken us beyond any planning. Life has its own way to make things moving and some times we are the things :)

We spent the night at a semi-mountainous place near Rethymno, one of the 6 major towns of Crete and the morning walk was a true delight! A friend that lives nearby suggested this place and he was so right. It isn't any kind of tourist attraction and it was almost impossible to find it on our own. The parts of farm land popping up in a woodsy scenery, was just amazing! And even though it felt like a wild forest, it had at the same time, the softness of a cultivated field!

Probably for the people that live around there, this is not something extraordinary but for us, coming from the other side of the island and a completely different scenery, it was a great walk and just the place we needed before we continue our little adventure!

And as I so often do, I couldn't stop myself from taking a closer look (and a few closer shots) of the little wonders of nature that are all over as a constant reminder that the circle of life never stops!
