One more Wednesday, one more walk, one more post about the picturesque and scenic Nafplio! A small town blessed with a lovely seafront and a wonderful historical centre. Both great for a nice walk, both with its own unique characteristics.
Which one should I choose for my walk?
But of course, both :)
I started my stroll from a part of the towns fortified wall that is called the five brothers, named after the five old canons that used to defend the old town and are still there, overlooking the sea! I joined them and and started shooting (with my camera) towards the wonderful view, the small island-fortress in the sea and the people that were taking their walk. Definitely a spot with strategical value and a great viewpoint :)
Then I moved towards the centre, trying to make the most out of the abundant sunshine and the typical old houses that are so distinctive in Nafplio. I love the spring and autumn sun. It so much better than the harsh and almost intolerable summer sunshine!
When I am taking pictures here, I often have the feeling that the town is taking the pictures on its own. I just borrow my hand and my equipment and all the rest are just happening, almost automatically :)
And then I turned towards the seaside, taking pictures of the unwrinkled sea, the small boats and the seafront buildings. I concluded my circular walk at the same spot that I started, the five brothers canons and the parking lot that I avoided to show :)
