Public holidays are an absolute godsend and anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves.
There is truly no greater feeling than waking up on a Monday morning, realising you don’t have to log into work or stare at a spreadsheet and just rolling right back over to sleep.
It’s like the universe collectively agrees to hit the pause button, giving us all a mutual pass to do absolutely nothing without an ounce of guilt.
Whether I'm spending the day catching up on my favourite shows, firing up the BBQ with mates or just enjoying a quiet coffee without checking my emails, these mini-breaks are exactly what keeps my sanity intact.
We work way too hard, and if it were up to me, we’d be tossing a few more of these long weekends into the calendar because they are pure bliss.
