(I've barely been here a day and I've already made new animal friends. Here you can see "Dam," which means black in Thai.)

Hi Actifitters,

after being a bit worn out after a full day in the taxi the day before yesterday, I only had something to eat and drink in the evening. Yesterday, I started my first day well-rested.

While yesterday didn't offer much more than food and drink, what was available to eat was a little unusual for my standards.

I tried a soup with squirrel meat and also something the Thais call "Kai mot daeng." This is a dish consisting mainly of the eggs of large red ants.

I stuck to two spoonfuls each and limited myself to an omelet and rice, but it definitely didn't taste as bad as I had feared.

Aside from my walking, I probably won't be doing much physical activity today. The temperatures are simply too high for my European constitution.

My wife's brothers are currently working on a new cabin here on the property. I might help out a little later.
