Fast steam locomotive of the Pt47 series
The steam locomotive of the Pt47-65 series is the pride of the Wolsztyn "collection" of steam locomotives. Designed to run fast trains, it has four drive axles, power 2000 hp and reaches a design speed of 110 km / h. The steam locomotive has a tender 27D48, which holds 27 m³ of water and is equipped with an automatic stoker coal feeder. In two Polish factories of HCP locomotives in Poznań and "Fablok" in Chrzanów, a total of 180 machines were built. The construction of the steam locomotive was based on the pre-war type Pt31, but it was modernized. The copy stationed in Wolsztyn, Pt47-65, has the factory number 2065. It was built in Chrzanów in 1949. Previously served in the locomotives of Ostrów Wlkp. And Poznań Osobowa. Most of these machines were cut for scrap in the 80's. The preserved specimen is run by personal and representation-excursion trains. The second copy of this type with railway number 106 (factory number 1304, year 1949) was brought here from the Choszczno locomotive.
