Steam locomotive of the Pm36 series
In 1936, the Locomotives Construction Office in Chrzanów developed an experimental series of a fast locomotive to run light express trains with speeds up to 140 km / h with the designation Pm36. Two locomotives of this series were built in 1937, one of them Pm36-1 possessed a streamlining cover and was exhibited at a technical exhibition in Paris where he received a gold medal. The Pm36-2 steam locomotive was the only one to survive the turmoil of war. The steam locomotive is equipped with tender 32D36 with the so-called "Counter-frame" and SKF rolling bearings. The steam locomotive has a front axle with 2 rolling axles and tendra axles, it has a speedometer mounted by the Swiss company Hasler-Bern. The boiler is made of St41K steel and has a working pressure of 18 Atm. Pm36-2 steam engine before the war only went on trial rides, it went to the planned movement after 1945 after the capital repairs carried out in ZNTK Bydgoszcz in 1947. The steam locomotive was then used in the Toruń, Gdynia, Poznań and Ostrów Wlkp Locomotives where it ended its service. The last ride with planned trains was made by the steam locomotive in April 1965, then after a long wait it was sent to the Railway Museum in Warsaw. In January 1995 he was sent to the Rolling Stock Repair Works in Piła, where he was reconstructed. On 06.06.1995 he was transferred to Wolsztyn Locomotives, where he enriched the collection of active steam locomotives. It is used to run scheduled trains and commemorative trains.
