Freight train Ty5
The normalized freight locomotive of the BR 50 series was built in 1939-1944. In total, 3147 units were built in all factories (including occupied territories). These steam engines were built in Poland in the HCP plants in Poznań (72 items) and in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. It was a steam locomotive with very low axle-15t pressure, which meant that it could be used on weak roads. On the horizontal track, he ran trains weighing up to 2500 tons at a speed of 40 km / h or passenger trains weighing up to 680 tons at a speed of 80 km / h. The overpressure of the steam in the boiler was 16 atmospheres. The steam engine was able to pass arcs with a radius of 140 m. After the war, 52 pieces of this type were sent to PKP. They worked mainly in the area of ZDOKP, at the end of service in the 1970s they were all stationed in Poznań. The Ty5-10 steam locomotive was built in the Schichau-Elbing factory (Zamech-Elbląg) in 1940 with the factory number 3413. On the German railways it was marked as 50 451. After the war, he went to Szczecin, and then from 1947 he was stationed in Poznań. It was withdrawn from use in the late 1970s. In 1994, it was rebuilt in MD Ostrów and hit as a cold exhibit to the local Skansen Steam Locomotive.
