Hello, Splinterlands and Alien Art community! We've reached the last day of the year, and I鈥檓 excited to share my final design and participation of 2024 with you. I hope this year has been fulfilling for everyone, that you鈥檝e achieved your goals, and are ready to recharge for the next year as we continue to grow together on Hive.
For this entry, I stuck to the concept of sea creatures and chose Musa. It was a true challenge to work on this design because of the sheer amount of intricate details, but I truly enjoyed the creative process.

Espero que este cierre de a帽o haya sido satisfactorio, que hayan logrado cumplir sus metas y est茅n listos para renovar energ铆as en el pr贸ximo a帽o, creciendo juntos en Hive.
Mi participaci贸n sigue alineada con el concepto de criaturas del mar, y esta vez eleg铆 a Musa. Fue un verdadero desaf铆o trabajar en este dise帽o debido a la gran cantidad de detalles que tiene, pero disfrut茅 mucho el proceso creativo.
I used an initial generated image of a mermaid as a base and then began adding the characteristic details of the design. I created new hair using a brush and white color. For the ears, I took inspiration from an image of corals, applying them and later using several layers of paint to achieve a tone similar to the base color of her skin.
Additionally, I added details like the gills, skin markings, the glow in her eyes, and the orange gradient located on her hands. My intention was to take my time and focus on ensuring no important details were overlooked.
Tom茅 como base una primera imagen de una especie de sirena generada y luego comenc茅 a agregar los detalles caracter铆sticos del dise帽o. A帽ad铆 un nuevo cabello utilizando un pincel y color blanco. Para las orejas, me inspir茅 en una imagen de corales, aplic谩ndolos y, posteriormente, con varias capas de pintura, logr茅 una tonalidad similar al color base de su piel.
Adem谩s, agregu茅 detalles como las tr谩queas, las marcas en su piel, el resplandor en sus ojos y el degradado naranja que se ubica en sus manos. Mi intenci贸n fue dedicar tiempo suficiente para cuidar cada detalle sin omitir los elementos clave del dise帽o.
As a near-final step, I added corals to both wrists, one on each side. I also used a tool to stretch the image and create the lower half of the body, which is notably large. Once I shaped it, I proceeded to add gradients that matched the main colors. To complete the tail, I added more corals and algae to enhance the design.
For the white outfit, I generated an image of a dress and started painting over it, focusing on the layer to give it perspective. Additionally, I added a golden texture that provided the final touch, aligning the golden details in her attire.
To finalize the design, I merged all the layers and darkened some areas to add highlights and shadows, giving certain parts greater depth. For the marine staff, I generated a rod, stretched it, and used the liquify tool to create a stepped shape. I then applied the same coral-layering technique to decorate it, adding glowing lights to the background to complete it.
The design took approximately 48 hours to complete, worked on in intervals.
Como preparaci贸n casi final, agregu茅 corales en ambas mu帽ecas, uno de cada lado. Tambi茅n utilic茅 una herramienta para estirar la imagen y as铆 crear la mitad inferior del cuerpo, que es considerablemente grande. Una vez que logr茅 darle forma, proced铆 a agregar degradados que coincidieran con los colores principales. Para completar la cola, a帽ad铆 m谩s corales y algas que complementaran el dise帽o.
En cuanto a la vestimenta blanca, gener茅 una imagen de un vestido y comenc茅 a pintar sobre ella, trabajando en la capa para darle perspectiva. Adem谩s, a帽ad铆 una textura dorada que aport贸 el acabado final, alineando los detalles de oro en su traje.
Para culminar el dise帽o, reun铆 todas las capas y oscurec铆 algunas 谩reas para agregar luces y sombras, d谩ndole mayor profundidad a ciertas partes. Para el b谩culo marino, gener茅 un bast贸n, lo estir茅 y utilic茅 la herramienta de licuar para darle una forma escalonada. Luego, apliqu茅 el mismo m茅todo de los corales con capas para decorarlo, agregando luces resplandecientes al fondo para completarlo.
El dise帽o tom贸 aproximadamente 48 horas en total, trabaj谩ndolo en intervalos.
