The SpendHBD project is so amazing and caught my attention instantly. When I discovered it last week, I knew that it is something that will work well in my country (Nigeria). It all came as a coincidence because just recently, I stumbled upon a study conducted by payments giant VISA which showed that Nigerians are the highest users of stablecoins across all emerging markets. HBD which is a stablecoin used for this project should certainly have its share in the enormous Nigerian crypto market.
So I have set out on this effort to take the SpendHBD project to thousands of local businesses in my city and State. Eventually, other Hive users that see how much value this project could bring to our dear country might decide to take it up in their various cities and states. HBD could be used for payments in everyday transactions and I hope to accelerate this project starting with the first workshop tomorrow, Tuesday 8/9/2024.
I was recently made a trusted local guide by the project admin. I have a lot of things to get done. I had to learn a lot quickly and I mastered how to list a local business. So far in the few days am around, I have listed 5 local business as seen below:
In preparations for this workshop tomorrow, I quickly listed the last 3 business just moments ago. I also did a transaction in each shop to demonstrate how this works. By tomorrow, up to 35 users that will attend the workshop will visit the 3 businesses and pay for a transaction using some HBD proudly sponsored by the SpendHBD team. Branding is important not just for the workshop but also for effectively promoting SpendHBD. I understand the importance of branding, having organized similar activities like the first Hive meetup in my city. So in following with the requirements set out for guides that host workshops, I have made the following arrangements:

I really hope and believe the event will run smoothly. I have a few other things to put in place. The presentation slide has been downloaded. I will also arrange other instructional material that will make it easy for the attendees to learn quickly how to make payments. Later, I will schedule an event using Meetup.
Tomorrow will mark a change in the history of shopping in Nigeria. I really hope that it goes up from there and many people get to learn about this amazing opportunity. Ultimately, Hive dollar will get a massive use-case in Nigeria, one of the largest emerging crypto markets.
