Its the era of 3D games and Crypto Shots has just come as the right time. This contest organized by OCD community is all about sharing one's experience as one tries out Crypto Shots. IF you would like to participate, you can click here for details.
Before I go straight into sharing my experience as I played this game, here is a little necessary background information.
Crypto Shots is a 3D game built for the hive and WAX blockchains. Players have access and assemble their weapons that have been designed in form of NFTs in the market. They are rewarded by shooting down drones and using their ammunition economically.
I saw the free mode of the game and I knew it was something I have to try out. So let me share my experience playing this game. These are the things I appreciate about the game
Game Loading time: This is where the first impression was made. It took just few seconds for the Game to load and display the interface. My Computer is not a high configuration system. Dell Inspirion 3000 series. 4 Gig RAM, 500 Gig HDD. But then, it loaded the game within seconds in my chrome browser. It almost time to enter the game proper. You can see the game interface below.
Beginner tip: Newbies would always appreciate some tips or little information that will enable them enjoy their gaming experience. Right from the first screen, I saw a recommendation to use Firefox which is deemed 10x faster than other browsers for games. I never knew this and it was well appreciated because I was using chrome.
Difficulty Levels and more information: Not every one is a gaming pro. So when I saw that there are different levels to play the game, I was happy. The Easy level must be for beginners like me. The Medium level is definitely for those that have gotten a little foothold on the game, and Hard level is for advanced players. I choose where I belong, the easy level.
I saw the green little box by the left what players must do to win. To kill enemies, be economical with ammo and then find the right weapons to shoot. Really nice information for players.
I also appreciate the Sunset background which gives the player a calm perception of the game about to be played.
As I opened the Easy level and started playing I enjoyed some things about the game which included the following:
Count Down Timer: There is a timer at the top right hand of the screen. The player needs to kill all the enemies within the time given. As the timer run down, the player knows they have to ack quickly in order to beat the time. It also helps the player to know how much work they need to do with the time remaining. You can see the timer on my screen below.
Aiming to shoot: This is another interesting aspect of this game. While the player does need to manually position the weapon before shooting, their is an indicator which helps him to position and locate the target. It makes it easy for the player not to miss the shots. Also the tiny red line at the top helps the player to know the location of their viewfinder, all contributing to an accurate matching of the target.
The 3D effect: The 3D display of this game makes it so real to the player. Unlike 2D images, Crypto Shots 3D objects puts the player in the game environment. I could almost feel the weapons, the shots, enemy drones exploding and the shape of other objects like the weapon boxes all are made to look real because of 3D. Overall, I enjoyed the game and got immersed in it more because of its 3D orientation.
Game Sounds: Crypto Shots really have a nice Sound design. When I shoot, I enjoy the sound of my weapon and the enemy exploding. Even from the starting screen, the cool sounds make for a lively gaming experience. I cannot imagine such a game without proper sounds, especially a shooting game like this.
I strongly believe Crypto Shots will be a big hit in the game and NFT market. You need to have a first hand experience of this game. Personally, I enjoyed a lot of things about it. Click here to see contest details
