Te invito a conocer el Castillo de Mérida [🇪🇸 / 🇬🇧]

Saludos a toda la comunidad. Espero estén todos muy bien. Yo con algunos sentimientos encontrados porque Marruecos acabó de ser eliminada del mundial. Pero, muy alegre por la gran sorpresa que dio este equipo y por la historia que está haciendo para África.

Esa batalla hasta el último minuto que se vio en el campo de juego es algo que nos caracteriza como especie. Luchar a toda costa por nuestra supervivencia o en la búsqueda de algún logro en particular.

En Venezuela se encuentra otro ejemplo donde las personas han luchado por un propósito prácticamente desde su concepción como una colonia de España. Se armó con todo lo que pudo, desde bayonetas, sables, revolver, hasta cañones, fortines y castillos.

Sé que los fortines y castillos fueron principalmente creados para custodiar las costas para evitar algún tipo de asalto sorpresa principalmente de los piratas. Además, eran los principales lugares donde llegaban refuerzos y algún tipo de autoridad.

Mérida está al occidente del país, muy lejos de alguna costa, así que encontrar un castillo aquí para evitar el saqueo de los piratas es algo inimaginable. Pero, sorpresas te da la vida y un hermoso castillo en la tierra andina apareció ante mis ojos.

In Venezuela you find another example where people have fought for a purpose practically since its conception as a colony of Spain. It armed itself with everything it could, from bayonets, sabers, revolvers, to cannons, forts and castles.

I know that the forts and castles were mainly created to guard the coasts to avoid some kind of surprise assault mainly from pirates, they were also the main places where reinforcements and some kind of authority arrived.

Mérida is in the west of the country, very far from any coast, so finding a castle here to avoid the plundering of pirates is something unimaginable. But, life gives you surprises and a beautiful castle in the Andean land appeared before my eyes.

Entre las tupidas montañas andinas, llenas de magia y leyendas se encuentra una espectacular estructura que vale la pena visitar.

Among the dense Andean mountains, full of magic and legends, there is a spectacular structure worth visiting.

Sé que no es la mejor foto para capturar una presentación adecuada, pero fue la única que tomamos desde afuera del castillo.

I know it's not the best photo to capture a proper presentation, but it was the only one we took from outside the castle.

Bueno, no se me presentó de sorpresa jajaj era por el suspenso que quería traerles. El castillo lo venía viendo desde hace años y siempre que recorríamos el páramo quedaba sorprendido por esa maravilla oculta entre la niebla y las montañas. Como si de un secreto habláramos.

Pero, yo develaré el secreto. Bueno, hasta donde se me permitió acceder.

Well, it didn't come as a surprise jajaj it was for the suspense i wanted to bring you. I had been seeing the castle for years and every time we traveled the moor i was amazed by this wonder hidden in the mist and mountains. As if we were talking about a secret.

But, i will unveil the secret. Well, as far as i was allowed access.

Esta maravillosa estructura, se le conoce como el Castillo de San Ignacio y exactamente no es un castillo, en realidad es un hotel. Un hermoso hotel al estilo medieval.

This wonderful structure is known as the Castillo de San Ignacio and it is not exactly a castle, it is a hotel. A beautiful medieval style hotel.

Mi madre y mi hermano mayor / My mother and my older brother

En orden de izquierda a derecha somos mi madre, yo, mi hermano mayor y mi hermano menor.

In order from left to right we are my mother, myself, my older brother and my younger brother.

Se nos ha pasado por la cabeza, pensar en vivir en una mansión o una casa gigantesca, a mi por ejemplo me gustaría vivir en una así, para que la familia tuviera más espacio y yo un poco más de intimidad jajaj. Decirse quiero volar un avión, quiero recorrer toda la muralla China, quiero ver la Aurora Polar, subir el Everest. Creo que desear tener un castillo es bastante válido. Este fue el sueño de un empresario de nombre Ignacio Castrogiovanni que pudo comenzar a darle forma a su sueño y la referencia fue el Castillo de Marostica de Italia. Pero, el sueño fue culminado por Lidio Piva.

It has crossed our minds, to think about living in a mansion or a gigantic house, i for example would like to live in one like that, so that the family has more space and i have a little more privacy jajaj. Saying to myself i want to fly a plane, i want to go all over the Chinese wall, see the Polar Aurora, climb Everest. I think wishing to have a castle is quite valid. This was the dream of an entrepreneur named Ignacio Castrogiovanni who was able to begin to give shape to his dream and the reference was the Marostica Castle in Italy. But, the dream was culminated by Lidio Piva.

Despertar en un lugar así, cubierto con la neblina o tener la dicha de presenciar la nieve debe ser algo espectacular.

Al profundizar un poco en esto de los deseos y estar en esta época del año donde uno se plantea nuevos propósitos para el siguiente año, se me ocurrió pedir un deseo en cada post que haga hasta que las 12 campanadas del 31 suenen.

As i delve a little deeper into the subject of wishes and being at this time of the year when one makes new resolutions for the following year, i thought of making a wish in every post i make until the 12 chimes of the 31st ring.

Así que mi primer deseo es Viajar

Cuando hablo de viajar, para mi conlleva muchas cosas más que el simple hecho de visitar una locación deseada. Quiero viajar, quiere decir para mí que quiero disfrutar ese momento plenamente, llegar, tomar fotos, conversar un poco, compartir, aprender, reflexionar, llenarme de muchas recomendaciones para visitar varios lugares, si es necesario quedarse e ir más allá.

En la mayoría de las fotos que puedan ver de mí, no estoy solo. Me gustaría llevar eso conmigo, pero si no se puede, me gustaría no cerrarme al viaje, sino arriesgarme a iniciar el viaje y aprender a disfrutar esos momentos de otra manera, con mis ojos, con mi respiración, con lo que siento y pienso, con lo que toco y con lo que pueda descubrir de mí mismo en esa travesía.

So my first wish is to travel

When i talk about traveling, for me it entails many things more than just visiting a desired location. I want to travel, it means for me that i want to enjoy that moment fully, arrive, take pictures, talk a little, share, learn, reflect, fill myself with many recommendations to visit several places, if necessary stay and go further.

In most of the photos you may see of me, i am not alone. I would like to take that with me, but if that is not possible, i would like to not close myself to the journey, but risk to start the journey and learn to enjoy those moments in another way, with my eyes, with my breath, with what i feel and think, with what i touch and with what i can discover about myself in that journey.
