Making Quality Bread Crumbs For Breading Meats And Other Things
Dried Bread Pieces Left From Homemade Bread
One of the biggest waste of your money are buying bread crumbs in a box for breading. If you make your own bread, or use bread that is natural without any additives, save your ends that no one wants and make your own crumbs. Cut or tear into pieces and put on cookie sheet and dry in oven at 200 degrees. You can also dry on a cookie sheet in the sun on the table. Just put in front of a sunny window. Take out of oven or sun, and let cool.
Making The Crumbs
After the bread has cooled, add to blender. I also add herbs from my garden that I have dried and ground fresh. On herbs I use many different combinations, depending on if I am making it for vegetables, Fish, or Lamb at Passover. The sky is the limit. Then grind them all together and store in glass jar with moisture packages. Easy, no preservatives, and healthy.
