When I visited the Ground Squirrels in Summer 2018 I also met this Pheasant in the grass nearby the place where the squirrels are. It was watching us and then it suddenly fled. The Male Pheasants have such a beautiful color in their feathers and with my long tele lens I got pretty close to it. I am already looking forward to next spring when the nature awakes from the winter sleep again. Because now everything is already preparing for winter and I must admit that I don't really like this time of the year with the cold weather and all the rain and wet weather that will come.
