The great crested grebes are some beautiful birds that live in rivers and lakes here in europe. I had the luck that I found a spot where these birds were building a nest to raise their offspring very close to the lake shore and were I could get pretty close to take some pictures of their activity. It was great watching them building their nest and also having some bonding activity and watching them sleeping there. They are really photogenic birds and watching them is funny something very entertaining also. I really enjoy sitting there and just watching the birds doing their thing. This time I also had a lot of luck with the weather and the light. And especially the nest building and bonding activity of these birds is an amazing experience. But also the mating of these birds is a great experience to watch.
