Entre nostalgia y movimiento, así encontré al Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul [ESP-ENG]

Hoy quiero compartirles parte, de mi día, después de haber estado un poquito desaparecida. La verdad es que mi ánimo no había estado muy bien y además estoy en pleno proceso de la graduación de mi hija, que ya pasa a primer año de bachillerato. Eso me tiene llena de pendientes, emociones y corre corre. Pero aquí estoy, tratando de retomar mis post y volver a conectar con ustedes.

Ayer me fui al Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul a visitar unas tiendas tratando de conseguir outfits para ese día tan especial. Tenia muchísimo tiempo sin visitarlo y sinceramente, me quedé muy sorprendida al llegar. Me dio un poquito de tristeza ver la gran cantidad de tiendas que han cerrado; los pasillos se sienten muy solos. Me imagino que es por la dura situación del país, donde todo parece un poco paralizado.

Especialmente ahora, después de los terremotos, sentimos que lo poco que se había avanzado como que se vino abajo. Es totalmente comprensible que la gente y los negocios tengan ahorita otras prioridades de vida, pero igual duele ver estos espacios comerciales tan apagados. Pero a pesar de todas las dificultades por las que estamos pasando en el país, sabemos perfectamente que somos personas fuertes y que siempre nos toca levantarnos con optimismo ante la adversidad.

Sin embargo, no todo fue nostalgia en nuestro recorrido, caminando por los pasillos, me di cuenta de que habilitaron una sala especial que están usando para una hermosa exhibición de pintura. Lamentablemente no pude pasar a verla detalladamente porque estaba un poquito apurada con mi hija haciendo diligencias, pero al menos alcancé a tomar unas foticos rápida desde afuera. Ver ese bonito espacio lleno de arte me alegró muchísimo el corazón; es muy lindo saber que aún se apuesta por la cultura y el talento en nuestra región.

Lo que sí estaba full era la feria. Había bastante movimiento, mucha gente comiendo y compartiendo. Nosotras comimos pollo a la broaster a un lugar que se llama Miky Pollo y la comida estaba divina. Vimos unas niñas de una danza que nos suponemos se iban a presentar pero no pudimos quedarnos para ver la presentación porque nos vinimos antes de las 4 y suponemos que la actividad empezaba justo a esa hora. Pero igual me alegró ver ese ambiente tan vivo, tan distinto al resto del centro comercial.

Lo que más me encantó de la feria fue un brinca-brinca enorme que estaba lleno de niños y también una estación de carritos con muchísima variedad de diseños. Eso le dio un toque alegre al lugar, como un pequeño respiro entre tanta desolación.

A pesar de todo, sigo pensando en los comerciantes y en todas las personas que trabajan allí. Ojalá pronto puedan recuperar la estabilidad y que el centro comercial vuelva a tener ese movimiento que lo caracterizaba. Sé que estamos pasando por momentos muy difíciles por lo del terremoto, pero también sé que tenemos que levantarnos, poco a poco.

Hello, @hivemargarita community. Today I want to share a bit of my day with you, after having been a little out of the loop. The truth is, I haven’t been feeling my best, and on top of that, I’m in the thick of my daughter’s graduation—she’s moving on to her freshman year of high school. That’s kept me busy with a million things to do, lots of emotions, and a lot of running around. But here I am, trying to get back to posting and reconnect with you all.

Yesterday I went to the Parque Costa Azul Mall to check out some stores, trying to find outfits for that special day. It had been a long time since I’d been there, and honestly, I was really surprised when I arrived. It made me a little sad to see how many stores have closed; the aisles feel very empty. I imagine it’s because of the tough situation the country is in, where everything seems a bit at a standstill.

Especially now, after the earthquakes, we feel like the little progress that had been made has kind of fallen apart. It’s completely understandable that people and businesses have other priorities in life right now, but it still hurts to see these commercial spaces so lifeless. Yet despite all the difficulties we’re going through in the country, we know full well that we’re a resilient people and that we always have to rise up with optimism in the face of adversity.

However, it wasn’t all nostalgia on our tour; as I walked through the hallways, I noticed that they’d set up a special room that’s being used for a beautiful art exhibition. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stop to look at it in detail because I was in a bit of a hurry running errands with my daughter, but at least I managed to snap a few quick photos from outside. Seeing that beautiful space filled with art really warmed my heart; it’s so nice to know that there’s still a commitment to culture and talent in our region.

The fair, on the other hand, was packed. It was pretty lively, with lots of people eating and socializing. We had broaster chicken at a place called Miky Pollo, and the food was delicious. We saw some girls from a dance group who we assume were going to perform, but we couldn’t stay to watch the show because we left before 4:00 p.m., and we assume the performance started right at that time. But I was still happy to see such a lively atmosphere—so different from the rest of the mall.

What I loved most about the fair was a huge bouncy castle full of kids and a toy car station with a huge variety of designs. That added a cheerful touch to the place—like a little breath of fresh air amid so much desolation.

Despite everything, I keep thinking about the shopkeepers and all the people who work there. I hope they can regain stability soon and that the mall can once again have the bustle that used to define it. I know we’re going through very difficult times because of the earthquake, but I also know that we have to pick ourselves up, little by little.
