My dear friends of this wonderful community.

For me, it is important to write here, because we are in such a troubled world that we have to say for a moment Let's go!

We are energy, Light, nature and the cure for our ills is there within everyone's reach.

Because of the pandemic, I don't know if it happened to you, but in my community and through the beloved networks, INFINITY of remedies and cures to prevent and attack the disease emerged.

We all became experts, and even the most daring ones said "with that splash of lemon" it won't touch you.... And more than one believed it.

I believe in the properties of plants, their action and benefits beyond giving us the oxygen we breathe and keeping us "alive".

That's why I took this opportunity to talk about my trial/error in this kind of natural treatments, which helped me to solve the pandemic or on the contrary, caused some kind of discomfort in me.

Something I learned from medicinal plants is that they are the basis for scientific medicine, this means that just as some people are allergic to penicillin, others to iodine and others to paracetamol, then we must be aware in the same way with the plants that are recommended to us, because it can happen that what is good for you may be the opposite for me.

Among these plants or remedies that did NOT do me any good, I can tell you:

Malojillo. This plant was the one of excellence in the attack on the pandemic. I had not seen people with as much faith as in this twig and they looked for it everywhere. I even heard that people would break into other people's houses to steal it because "it was miraculous" when the disease attacked or the symptoms started.

In my case, taking it gave me a headache. I don't know if it was because my mother gave it to me before going out, when I arrived, at night, and it was so pure in its concentration that it didn't leave my migraine alone for about three days. When I eliminated it from my daily diet, I started to feel better so I dropped it from my nightly teas.

Piranha. This other plant is wonderful and miraculous in various diseases such as those related to the skeletal system. It is prepared as a tea or added directly to food. I didn't take it because it was too "hot" but I did feel that it raised my blood pressure; it turns out that my mother used it in food and as it is imperceptible I had high blood pressure. By eliminating it from theof the diet, then the pressure returned to its normal course.

Salt water. Although it is not a plant, this "natural" home remedy was used to gargle (because of a very famous video that I don't even want to remember), to protect us from the virus entering our body. So I gargled three times a day. Along with the fact that I had high blood pressure and the first thing that is eliminated is salt, so that "pump" in my body made me feel very unwell. I stopped gargling and it also helped me to get better.

As well as the previous examples I can mention many more that I would never recommend to take; neither alone nor in combination.

But as everything can not be so bad, I love teas so I kept insisting with these infusions until I found the right ones for me. Among them I can tell you:

Chamomile. My tea par excellence. I think it is the only one recommended for all kinds of medical conditions (if not, I would like to know). Preparing it is very easy because you just boil water, apply a small portion, strain and you can drink it hot or cold. Apply a little honey if you like and it is useful in many cases: to reduce inflammation, belly aches, to sleep, to calm nerves.

IMG_20220419_151135780~2.jpg

I think we all know about chamomile (even if it has other names), and for me it is pleasant to take it at night, but if it comes up during the day, I don't despise it.

Oregano. My mum saw it on the internet and I was like "Isn't that for earache?" I was incredulous about its effect but yes, it's good for sleep; it can also be applied to food (if you prefer powdered oregano), and I even use it to disinfect the house: after cleaning and disinfecting, I just put it to boil and it does its cleaning effect in my home.

IMG_20220419_151255109.jpg

The best thing is that a single leaf gives off a lot of aroma and sticks to the soil very quickly.

Rosemary. I like this plant very much because it keeps the house smelling nice. I have seen on the internet that they use a lot of rosemary for cleaning, but in my city it is difficult to get it. So when I had the chance, I took a few sprigs and stuck them in this jar. They have been with me for a year now, they have a few little flowers and I'm used to it, but if someonecomes into the house, they can smell it.

IMG_20220419_151229061~2.jpg

Lemonade. It was also very famous and famous for its vitamin C content. As I have noticed that it does not affect my system, I can make it hot at night or cold lemonade for the high temperatures. And I even applied some tea to it and its shell can also be cooked; I have had no problem with this infusion.

Final words

Plants are wonderful and the teas that some of their leaves give us are wonderful for our health.

I only recommend two things: first of all, get to know which ones are good for you and which ones are not. This will avoid some complications, as was my case, and will allow you to enjoy them. Also, be careful when administering them to children, because they are children and their bodies need different doses than ours.

Secondly, do not abuse them; many of these little leaves like acetaminophen or atroberan, are very, very strong, so taking them in excess can be like traditional medicines that cause allergies or side effects, like an overdose. So taking them with caution would be my recommendation.

And so my dear friends, I bid you farewell, hoping that this post will help build those matrices of opinion of what works for you and what doesn't and I invite you to leave me in your comments how your experience has been with some of these teas.

  • 馃尡 Malojillo.

IMG_20220419_151331721~2.jpg

  • 馃尡 Pira.

Dej茅 de hacerlas y tambi茅n ayudo a mi mejor铆a.

  • 馃尡 Manzanilla.

  • 馃尡 Or茅gano.
