Hello friends of the community hive-140084@hive-140084, continuing with the thematic Wednesdays dedicated to women. I want to dedicate today's article to one of those women with character who have helped humanity progress, Amelia Earhart.

Amelia Earhart was born in Kansas on July 24, 1897 and had a vibrant but too short life. Amelia was an adventurous woman since she was just a child and she had a dream that she made come true. She wanted to fly.

And she learned to fly from a very young age. From the first moment she knew that this was what she was born for. Despite the problems that any woman had at that time to be able to play that role. Luckily for Amelia Earhart, her family was rich and she also had the support of her grandfather.

When she was barely 20 years old she gave her first flying lessons and a little later she was able to buy her first airplane, a "Kinner". She quickly managed to stand out and achieve records such as flying at the highest altitude, 4267 meters high. Her fame grew when she received the proposal to cross the Atlantic by plane. Since she couldn't be her any other way, Amelia accepted and she became the first woman to do so. Some years later she was able to make the same journey but in this case alone. She used that fame to promote aviation among women, which is why she is also a feminist icon of the time.

Amelia Earhart always lived for aviation but above all for her personal challenges. Unfortunately for her and a little for humanity, on July 2, 1937, she disappeared in the middle of the Pacific when her plane fell into the sea. She was trying to fly around the world.
