Greetings everyone welcomes to my blog, it's a new week and I know we all have so many beautiful things going on in our life I wish you all the best.
My childhood wasn't perfect but I had the best parent who tried their best to make sure my upbringing as a child and a teenager was the best for me. Having an intelligent and educated parent is a gift any child should wish for. My parent was very strict and would never allow any bad behavior in our home. we were not allowed to leave the house, and if we must it would be for a very good reason.
A peep into my family, Daddy was the more strict one while mummy was a disciplinarian with a listening ear and a heart of Gold. Four brothers and just me as the only girl until after ten years my mum had my younger sisters. So I was the only girl among my four brothers for a long time. We had helps in the house but my mother made sure we were part of the activities that happens in the house.
THE THINGS I DID AS A CHILD

Making up my mind to learn as a child.
As an only girl for a long time, I was given much care and pampering. But somehow, I discovered I didn't know the steps to cook and arrange my space but my brothers know how to cook and clean the house. My elder brother thought me how to cook because I want to learn. When my mother saw that her kids were able to do most of the things she got the maids for, she asked them to leave and we became her assistant to run the house.
A brave and bold step to get close to my strict father
I have always admired my father as an engineer, who works very hard to provide for his family and comes back home late. He could fix anything that went bad in our home and he was always safety conscious. But the part of being very strict was what chase all of us away from him to avoid his beating and shouting. As a child, I was brave and bold to speak to anyone without fear. But the way I see my brother so scared of my father made me scared too. I took a brave and bold step to speak to my father about the pumping machine that went bad and how I put it off because of the loud noise my brother where so scared and they told me daddy would kill me today for touching it. I explained to him how the noise was so loud and I quickly wore my slipper and went to the switch to turn it OFF and ON and then I put it OFF. My father smiled and said " good girl, but why didn't you call your brothers?" that was when I looked at them to answer for themselves. From that day I could speak to my father without fear.
As a mother, Making sure my kids could tell me anything with respect and they speak to their father too. every parent needs to know all that concern their kids it goes a long way when they are about to take a decision.
Every child is important, irrespective of their gender, we should teach them the basics of life, safety and how to be independent.
I won't allow my child to entertain any form of fear towards anything because fear is a mind killer a Quote by Frank Herbert. Fear can interrupt processes in our brains that allow us to regulate emotions.
