There was a time in my life when I thought I had to carry every burden alone. Life was demanding, and some seasons felt heavier than others. Yet, when I look back now, I realize that even in my hardest moments, I was never truly alone.
One of the greatest gifts God gave me was the people He placed around me. During my pregnancy, when my husband was away and I was caring for a toddler, a dear friend checked on me consistently. She offered help, encouragement, and support when I needed it most. Our friendship had already survived many years and many challenges. Even when I couldn't always be there for her the way I wanted, she remained a constant presence in my life. That kind of loyalty is priceless.
Later, another friend came into my life and became a source of strength during some of my most vulnerable moments. She listened without judgment, understood me without needing long explanations, and stood by me when I needed someone beside me. She was even with me in the theatre, reminding me that I did not have to face everything alone.
My brothers have always been willing to help when I asked. My mother, whom I lovingly call "Paragon," has been my source of wisdom, prayers, and solutions. She carries my concerns as though they were her own and never stops believing that every problem has an answer.
And then there is my husband. Like every marriage, ours has its challenges, but I see his sacrifices. I see the spoken and unspoken acts of love, care, and commitment he gives as a husband and father.
Today, my heart is filled with gratitude. I may not have received every form of help I once imagined, but I have received something even greater: people who showed up, stayed, and cared. My prayer is that God blesses me abundantly so that I can become a source of the same kindness, strength, and support that has been given to me.
