When I listen to some crypto friends a lot of them seem to believe that x happens and suddenly the whole world is going crypto.
I highly doubt that.
It will not be like suddenly the TV turned from Black and White into color it will more be like the internet.
The internet used to suck if you look back on it now.
You could not use your landline while "surfing", I loose the term surfing very loose here as it was more waiting for something to happen, then you clicked once and waited a bit more.
It was full of scams in form of dialers which reconnected you to a way more expensive connection.
If you compare this experience to what we have now and especially how fast we got here it is kind of mind blowing.
Crypto will be the same. If you look back how complicated it was just a couple of years ago to buy BTC and where we are now that you can use your credit card or bankaccount and you have your crypto in a couple of minutes shows how fast the space is moving.
It feels like an eternity sometimes if you follow the space daily and we loose perspective and patient easily this way.
In a couple of years users will use dapps and not even realize it is on network x or y.
While Steemit looks pretty much the same as when I arrived here and just lost the beta, there is still a lot more how I can use my Steem as I could 2 years ago and against popular believe there was more happening than a couple of messy hardforks.
Smart people come up with new ways to use deleagtions and build something here.
I think you get my point that there was a lot of new stuff build from steemians for steemians and as long as I can look back in 2 more years and see so much more I can do with my steem compared to today, I think we are on a good track.
The price does not represent development.
A problem I see is that not many people outside of Steem know about this and that other chains dont sleep. This is a very competitve space and I am sure some chains just gonna fail for several reasons despite having good tech.
