3 big influences on my life

In this post I want to share 3 things which had a very big and positve impact on my life so far. There are many, many others of course which influenced me in a good or bad way but you need to start somewhere, right?

Death :

Like probably most people in their 30s I have encountered death a couple of times in my life.

I had to grief for friends and family members, but probably nothing hit me like the suicide of my father.

In a weird way death is a good thing to encounter. It ripped me out of my state of mind, showed me nothing is forever or I should take it for granted.

A reminder that we are not here forever and should make our stay here count.

After every death of sombody close to me, I could not help myself but took a very close look at my life.

The everyday routine got me sooner or later again, but I never felt so thankful or full of fire to fulfill my dreams after encountering death.

Sport :

In my early 20s I was big on Muay-Thai. But I had also my ups and downs with it. There were times I trained 4-5 times a week and times I did not train for months.

But I noticed how I was way happier when I went training regular and consistent.

I know this is something I have to battle with a lot : concestincy and not 1 week of throw myself totally in it and than do nothing again for the next 3 weeks.

Traveling :

My first big travel was with 23 when I went to Thailand by myself to train Muay Thai for 6 weeks. This was probably the best time in my life and the reason why I am here again.

The people I have met, the training, the view on the world outside of my usual fishtank, it all changed my view on life and my dreams to this day.

This post is also a test. I will throw every booster I know at it, to see how much this will influence the success of the post.(messed it up already....)
