I am a fan of passive income. It gives me a certain security and reduces the stress to provide for the basic costs. In this post I am presenting all the passive income coins I am currently invested in. This is merely my personal portfolio - there are plenty more fish in the sea.
Steem
Let's begin with the foundation: Steem is an absolutely marvelous and powerful cryptocurrency. Whatever you might think about Steemit or any other platform running with Steem, the blockchain is a money printing machine. To tab into this potential you must power up your Steem into Steem Power first. Then you are able to profit from countless ways to use your new Steem Power, from curation rewards, to vote selling and delegation to others.
Whatever path you take the system will reward you with new tokens if you don't let your Steem Power sit idle in your account. Another great feature is the inflation on Steem which makes you earn more Steem Power over time even without any activity whatsoever.
SmartCash
The Smarties are all over Steemit because they have a project treasury worth millions of US Dollars that offers bounties for SmartCash posts. But the brilliant passive income feature are SmartRewards and SmartNodes. To earn SmartRewards you need to hold at least 1000 SMART in a wallet for one month (25th to 25th). And SmartNodes are virtual private networks running a code to provide the SmartCash network with instant payment features. To set up one SmartNode you need exactly 10,000 SMART. The rewards are taken out of the mining rewards.
The price of SmartCash is currently relatively low. You can get it on the CryptoBridge or CoinExchange.

Manna
With Manna we all get a free basic income token. The project aims to distribute free tokens once a week to every registered member. It works with charity organisations to raise funds and create investment interest. It offers an aggressive affiliate model that adds 100% bonus payout for each referred new member who also recives a 50% bonus for coming via a referral. All you need to do is to create a free account and connect it with a phone number.
The project is revolutionary. Seeing a basic income from the state feels wrong but receiving free coins with the idea to lower poverty and give everyone the same chance while at the same time this might even be profitable because of how the economic system works. The price is currently at half a cent and the weekly payout will not even buy a meal. But this is just the beginning of something that could change the world.

BridgeCoin
The decentralized exchange network BitShares has now a platform build ontop of it: CryptoBridge. It is a sleek tool for web and desktop to trade cryptocurrencies without compromising the private keys of your funds like you do on centralized exchanges. The trading fees of the CryptoBridge exchange are shared 50% with the investors who stake their BridgeCoins in the platform. The longer you stake them the more bonus you get. Payouts are done every two weeks in form of various coins which have been traded on the platform.
You can get a closer look at the last payout on their Medium page. I have invested some money into it because I use CryptoBridge for SmartCash trades and I started to like it. The volume is still low but even so the payouts are already quite nice. I believe there will be a rising demand for decentralized exchanges in the future. And getting all sorts of coins twice a month is also really nice.

None of this is financial advice. Research all these coins before you invest anything and never invest more than you can afford to loose. Cryptos are all risky and volatile.
What do you think about passive income? Have you invested into any cryptocurrencies with such features yourself? Do you prefer liquid funds unlike Steem Power, SmartCash rewards and BridgeCoin who are all some form of staking or vesting? Let me know in the comments below.
