Hello friends I hope you are very well, returning with the drawings I have made an illustration of the villain of Marcel Comics Thanos, the crazy titan. This has been one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel animated universe and also in the cinematographic universe, this being the villain to defeat who disappeared in the middle of the universe after using the infinity gems and the gauntlet. This drawing was made with faber castell school color pencils on Canson cardboard, I hope you like it.
Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien, regresando con los dibujos he realizado una ilustración del villano de Marcel Comics Thanos, el titan loco. Este ha sido uno de los villanos más poderosos del universo animado de Marvel y también en universo cinematográfico, siendo este el villano a vencer quien desapareció a la mitad del universo luego de utilizar las gemas del infinito y el guantelete. Este dibujo fue realizado con lápices de color faber castell escolares sobre cartulina Canson, espero que les guste.
PROCESS
To start the drawing we paint Thanos' face using purple as a base, then we lighten it a bit using lilac and pastel pink. In this way, with these 3 colors it will be enough to bring out the texture and color of the skin.
Para comenzar el dibujo pintamos el rostro de Thanos utilizando color morado como base, despues aclaramos un poco utilizando lila y rosa pastel. De esta manera, con estos 3 colores será suficiente para sacar la textura y el color de la piel.
After finishing with the face, we start with Thanos' helmet which is a slightly worn gold color with some signs of battle. To achieve this color we will use ocher yellow as a base, and then we will alternate more colors such as light yellow, some pastel and also white, for the darker parts we use mustard brown which is a darker green. To better mix the colors we can blur with a soft brush and then apply another layer with the same color tones.
Después de terminar con el rostro, comenzamos con el casco de Thanos que es de un color dorado algo desgastado y con algunos signos de batalla. Para lograr este color utilizaremos amarillo ocre como base, y luego iremos alternando más colores como amarillo claro, algo de pastel y tambuén color blanco, para las partes más oscuras ponemos color marron mostaza que es un verde más oscurecido. Para mezclar mejor los colores podemos difuminar con un pincel suave y luego aplicar otra capa más con los mismos tonos de colores.
The next step is to paint the other part of the armor that includes the chest and the shoulders, of course we use the same color palette as before, the one we used for the helmet. Since this part is usually a bit brighter, we can play with the lights and shadows, adding dark colors and light colors.
El siguiente paso es pintar la otra parte de la armadura que incluye el pecho y los hombros, utilizamos por supuesto la misma paleta de colores anterior, la que usamos para el casco. Como esta parte suele ser un poco más iluminada podemos jugar con las luces y las sombras, agregando colores oscuros y colores claros.
We finish our drawing by blurring all the part that we have drawn, if we use mineral oil the blurring is better, as if we had used liquid paint. To make the armor stand out more, we can also paint the background and blur the colors, so I think the gold will look better.
Finalizamos nuestro dibujo difuminando todo la parte que hemos dibujado, si utilizamos aceite mineral el difuminado nos queda mejor, como si hubieramos utilizado pintura líquida. Para que resalte más la armadura podemos pintar también el fondo y difuminamos los colores, así creo que se verá mejor el dorado.
FINAL WORK
After applying several layers of color with the blending technique, we achieve a better finish. The Thanos that I used as a reference was the one that came out in Endgame, since I consider that this Thanos looked more powerful and imposing than the Thanos of Infinity Wars, considering that they were the same person but from different timelines, the reflected character was great . Después de aplicar varias capas de color con la técnica de difuminado conseguimos un mejor acabado. El Thanos que utilicé de referencia fue el que salió en Endgame, ya que considero que este Thanos se veía más poderoso e imponente que el Thanos de Infinity Wars, considerando que eran la misma persona pero de diferentes lineas de tiempo, el caracter reflejado fue genial. Espero que les haya gustado, no dejen de comentar que les ha parecido, y si les gustaría que dibuje a otro personaje, no soy bueno en la figura humana, pero trato de mejorar.
