Hello friends I hope you are very well. Today I want to share my last drawing with the community. It is a cartoon of Jhonny Deep representing Edward scissorhands. This character is one of the ones I like best played by this actor, he is a sort of more mature dark Pinocchio and with deeper existential problems, I always empathized with his life when I learned that he was a very lonely person. So using the Italian cartoon style I wanted to make a drawing. Hope you like.

Hola amigos espero que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy quiero compartir mi ultimo dibujo con la comunidad. Se trata de una caricatura de Jhonny Deep representando a Edward manos de tijera. Este personaje es uno de los que mas me gusta interpretado por este actor, es una suerte de Pinocho oscuro mas maduro y con problemas existenciales más profundos, siempre empaticé con su vida al conocer que era una persona muy solitaria. Por eso usando el estilo de la caricatura italiana quise hacer un dibujo. Espero que les guste.

This is the first part of the drawing and it tries to make a sketch helped by general lines. We start first by making the head, which is almost always the same size as the rest of the body. Once we have the sketch we begin to make the contours of the face always exaggerating those parts that seem most striking but without deforming the face. The purpose of this type of cartoon is to exaggerate parts of the human body that are recognizable in the person.

Este es la primera parte del dibujo y trata de hacer un boceto ayudado por lineas generales. Comenzamos primero haciendo la cabeza que casi siempre es de la misma medida del resto del cuerpo. Una vez tenemos el boceto comenzamos a realizar los contornos del rostro siempre con exagerando aquellas partes que nos parezcan mas llamativas pero sin deformar el rostro. El proposito de este tipo de caricaturas es exagerar partes del cuerpo humano que sean reconocibles en la persona.

The next step is to color with darker colors to give shape to the drawing. We start from the face then the hair and finally the rest of the body. As this character represents loneliness, within the world of Tim Burton the color black always predominates, so I decided to use only gray and black pencil and not another range of colors.

El siguiente paso es colorear con colores mas oscuros para darle forma al dibujo. Comenzamos desde el rostro luego el cabello y por último el resto del cuerpo. Como este personaje representa la soledad, dentro del mundo de Tim Burton siempre predomina el color negro, por eso decidí usar solo lápiz gris y negro y no otra gama de colores.

FINAL WORK

This is how the result has been after painting the hair. I remember Edward had some scars on his face, I didn't want to add them because I didn't want the drawing to be deformed, but that was an important aspect of his personality, all the damage he did to himself after living so long alone. Así ha quedado el resultado luego de pintar el cabello. Recuerdo que Edward tenia unas cicatrices en la cara, no quise agregarlas porque no quería que el dibujo me quedara deforme, pero ese era un aspecto importante de su personalidad, todo el daño que se hizo a sí mismo luego de vivir tanto tiempo solo.
