Hello friends, I hope you are very well, today in this new opportunity I want to share with you my last drawing. This is one of the cutest beings in the world of Marvel, Baby Groot, who was first seen in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. This drawing is made on off-white Fabriano paper and drawn with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, I hope you enjoy it.
Hola amigos, espero que esten muy bien, hoy en esta nueva oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes mi último dibujo. Se trata de uno de los seres más tiernos del mundo de Marvel, Baby Groot, a quien se vió por primera vez en Guardianes de la Galaxia 2. Este dibujo está hecho en papel fabriano de color hueso y dibujado con lápices de color Prismacolor Premier, espero lo disfruten.
PROCESS
Once we have prepared the paper on which we will draw, we make a quick sketch with a 4H pencil, this pencil is one of the best for making lines that we will then erase. Afterwards we started to fill our drawing with base colors, here I used a color of a tone called "Ginger" which is a slightly aged paste color that has a range that goes from green to light brown.
Una vez que hayamos preparado el papel sobre el cual dibujaremos, hacemos un boceto rápido con un lápiz 4H, este lápiz es de los mejores para hacer líneas que luego borraremos. Desoués comenzamos a rellenar nuestro dibujo con colores bases, aquín utilicé un color de un tono llamado "Jenjibre" que es un color paste un poco envejecido que tiene una gama que va desde el verde hasta el marrón cláro.
The next step is to apply a darker color and give it a tone more towards the wood, and apart from that we will also make the cracks that Baby Grootm has to make the cracks we will also make them with brown and then dark brown and thus we will darken making a color degradation.
El siguiente paso es aplicar un color más oscuro y darle un tono más hacia la madera, y a parte de ello también hacer las grietas que tiene Baby Grootm para hacer las grietas tambien las haremos con color marron y luego marro oscuro y así iremos oscureciendo haciendo una degradación de colores.
Then we deepen the colors of the upper part of the head where it has a more accentuated green color, we also make the eyes shine that will help us give it that realism using white color for the reflection of light in contrast to the black color.
Luego profundizamos más los colores de la parte superior de la cabeza donde tiene un color verde mas acentuado, tambien hacemos el brillo de los ojos que nos ayudará a darle ese realismo utilizando color blanco para el reflejo de luz en contraste con el color negro.
The last step in our drawing technique is to blur the colors with a soft brush, so we mix and we can start over from the beginning, by using this paper time it absorbs the color in such a way that it allows the application of several layers, we can also use some thinner such as mineral oil and the drawing would have an oil painting appearance.
El último paso en nuestra técnica de dibujo es difuminar los colores con un pincel suave, así mezclamos y podemos volver a comenzar desde el principio, al utilizar este tiempo de papel absorve el color de tal manera que permite la acplicación de varias capas, tambien podemos utilizar algun diluyente como aceite mineral y el dibujo tendría una apariencia de pintira al óleo.
FINAL WORK
After making the blur I put 3 more layers of colors and accentuated the grooves of the tree, I used a black marker for the eyes on the retina to make it darker. Luego de hacer el difuminado le puse 3 capas más de colores y acentué las ranuras propias del arbol, a los ojos en la retina utilicé marcador negro para que quedara más oscuro.
