Hello dear friends, I send a big greeting to this great community #TheAnimeRealm where they always open their doors to share our passion for the world of anime-manga, or drawings, fan arts related to this fabulous world. Today I felt inspired and had the idea of drawing one of my favorite characters, the grumpy Inuyasha. I know many of you know his story, and with his appearance he earned a place in the world of anime, also becoming a legend. I have made a drawing using colored pencils where you can see him making one of his characteristic expressions. Here I show you step by step how I did it, don't miss it.
Hola queridos amigos, envió una gran saludo a esta gran comunidad #TheAnimeRealm donde siempre abren sus puertas para poder compartir nuestra pasión por el mundo del anime-manga, o dibujos, fan arts relacionados a este fabuloso mundo. Hoy me sentí inspirado y tuve la idea de dibujar a uno de mis personajes favoritos, al gruñon de Inuyasha, se que muchos conocen su historia, y con su aparición se ganó un lugar en el mundo del anime, convirtiéndose también en una leyenda. He realizado un dibujo utilizando lápices de colores donde se puede ver haciendo una de sus expresiones características, aquí te muestro paso a paso como lo hice, no te lo pierdas.
I used white cardboard to draw Inuyasha, and to make the drawing, I first made a sketch, with fine lines made with a very light pencil, and then I removed them one by one while applying the color.
Utilicé una cartulina de color blanco para dibujar a Inuyasha, y para hacer el dibujo, en primer lugar hice un boceto, de líneas finas hechas con lápiz muy claro, para luego ir quitándolas una a una mientras voy aplicando el color.
Once the sketch was finished, I took out my Prismacolor colored pencils and started on the facial skin. I didn't just paint this area in one shade; instead, I added slightly darker colors to create the shadow effect near the hair and on one side of the face.
Terminado el boceto saqué mis lápices de colores Prismacolor y comencé la piel del rostro. Esta parte no la pinte solamente de un tono, sino que en las partes cercanas al cabello, y a un lado del rostro puse colores un pocos más oscuros para hacer el efecto de la sombra.
Next, I began painting Inuyasha's eyes. When he's not transformed, they're a yellow color similar to amber. By also mixing a bit of orange and brown, I give them that contrasting tone. I'm also gradually outlining what I've painted so far so the face can be better appreciated. This way, I have a guideline for the direction the drawing is taking.
Seguidamente comencé a pintar los ojos de Inuyasha, que cuando no está transformado, son de un color amarillo parecido al ambar, así que mezclando también un poco de naranja y café le voy dando ese contraste de tono en los ojos. También voy poco a poco delineando lo que hasta ahora he pintado para que el rostro pueda apreciarse mejor. Así tengo una guía de cual es la dirección que va tomando el dibujo.
I take care of adding those small details on the face, as I mentioned before, outlining with black, as well as the nose and mouth. Next, I begin painting the hair, which in the anime looks white, but in the shadows it looks somewhat gray. It's those shadows that I gradually paint in using light gray; this color has a slightly bluish tone that I really like.
Me encargo de hacer esos pequeños detalles en el rostro, como mencioné antes, delinear con color negro, también la nariz y la boca. Seguidamente comienzo a pintar el cabello, que en el anime se ve de color blanco, sin embargo en las sombras se ve algo gris. Son esas sombras las que voy pintando poco a poco utilizando el color gris claro, este color tiene un tono algo azulado que me gusta mucho.
Next, we have to paint part of his clothes, since Inuyasha always wears a large red robe. So I paint it with a mixture of scarlet red and a bit of orange, as well as part of the necklace around his neck.
Luego nos toca pintar parte de sus vestiduras, ya que Inuyasha siempre está vestido por una gran túnica de color rojo. Así que la voy pintando mezclando el color rojo escarlata y también un poco de naranja, así también parte del collar que tiene en su cuello.
To finish, I used a fine-tip marker with black ink. With this marker, I'm going to outline the entire drawing, along each of the edges, so the volume and shape will be more visible.
Para finalizar utilicé un marcador de punta fina con tinta de color negro, con este marcador voy a delinear todo el dibujo, por cada uno de los bordes, de esa manera el volumen y la forma serán más visibles.
FINAL WORK
What did you think of the result? I really liked how it turned out. Prismacolor colors always have impressive, very bright finishes, and if we use, for example, mineral oil to blend and smudge, the result is even more incredible. It's a technique I use in many of my drawings, and I always get great results. Qué les ha parecido el resultado? a mi me gustó mucho como quedó, los colores prismacolor siempre tienen unos acabados impresionantes y muy brillantes y si utilizamos por ejemplo, aceite mineral para difuminar y mezclar el resultado es aún más increíble, es una técnica que utilizo en muchos de mis dibujos y siempre consigo buenos resultados.
