Hello, my dear otaku friends! How are you all doing today? I am so excited to be here once again, sharing my passion for art with you all. Today, I’m continuing my personal challenge of drawing the most iconic characters from the wonderful universe of Inuyasha. This time, it’s the turn of the story’s main protagonist: Inuyasha himself. For this piece, I wanted to experiment and create something completely different from my usual style. I decided to work on a recycled cardboard base, which gave the design a unique, rustic texture. As for the coloring, I opted for a mixed-media approach, combining the delicacy of watercolors for the background with the boldness and opacity of tempera paint to highlight his red outfit and long silver hair.
As many of you already know, this character has always been my absolute favorite from the entire anime. Their strong yet noble personality is a huge source of inspiration for me, and I have to admit I love how the final result turned out. I feel like I managed to capture their essence. ¡Hola, mis queridos amigos otakus! ¿Cómo se encuentran hoy? Yo estoy muy emocionada de estar aquí una vez más compartiendo mi pasión por el arte con todos ustedes. El día de hoy continúo con mi reto personal de ir dibujando a los personajes más icónicos del maravilloso universo de Inuyasha. En esta oportunidad, llegó el turno de plasmar al gran protagonista de esta historia: el mismísimo Inuyasha.Para esta pieza quise experimentar y hacer algo totalmente diferente a lo habitual. Decidí que lo mejor era trabajar sobre una base de cartón reciclado, lo cual le dio una textura única y muy rústica al diseño. En cuanto al color, opté por una técnica mixta, combinando la delicadeza de las acuarelas para los fondos con la fuerza y opacidad de las témperas para resaltar su vestimenta roja y su largo cabello plateado.
Como ya muchos de ustedes saben, este personaje es mi favorito de todo el anime desde siempre. Su personalidad fuerte pero noble me inspira muchísimo, y debo confesar que me encanta cómo me quedó el resultado final. Siento que logré capturar su esencia.
