Comment for Cash on the STEEM Blockchain

Where can you comment and make money on the STEEM blockchain? This post is for you if:

• you are trying to earn STEEM and your posts do not make much in payouts.
• you are new to steem with low SP and limited RC
• you have an older STEEM blog, and you are trying to do better here.

With low RC, your biggest issue is deciding how to use it each day. Your goal needs to be to:

• Raise your SP the highest you can
• Drain your RC the lowest you can

Keep this open and watch it drain and recharge, so you can see the effects of your actions.

So you need to:

• Get the MOST rewards
• For the LEAST RC cost

The strategies below will help you get over this hump and soon it will be nothing but a war story of your old days at the beginning of your successful time on STEEM.

You might ask the question:
Shouldn't I be writing posts instead of commenting?

Yes!

You need to post too (and first)

You need a minimum of one post each day before commenting. It is not that hard. You cannot be a STEEM blogger if you do not blog. If you comment and someone goes to check your feed, you need to have something on it for them to see.

Where are the Best Places to Post When New to STEEM?

When you are first getting started, here are the best places to post because they pay you in upvotes or tokens:

• @actifit, if you have a phone and you walk
• @steemhunt if you like to shop AND are techy or a gamer
• @partiko on a phone so far
• @esteem or @esteemapp for your phone
• @dtube if you make videos (this is a harder place to post in, but can be very lucrative)
• @busy pays something if you have big followers

If you don't know WHAT to post:

Use @esteem or @esteemap. They will upvote your post for a small amount in the beginning and bigger later if you are any good – like you are. Use esteem for one of these topics each day.

• freewrite each day with @mariannewest
• do contest posts
• do photo posts
• do posts about your hobby or niche if you have one

So now that you have got that daily post going, keep posting it each day and now move on to commenting.

Does it really pay to comment?

Yes. Your posts are getting very little payout in the beginning of your time here. The strategies below will help you meet others and learn the ropes. Don't worry that this is small money. It will grow if you persist.

What are comments on the STEEM Blockchain?

Comments are important here and can pay, and sometimes pay well. If you can do them, you can make money here because:

• people appreciate comments on their posts
• people answer their comments some of the time
• some people pay for comments with upvotes

Some Features of Comments:

• Replies received on posts and then the further replies to those.
• Chains that can go long or short.
• Comments can be unanswered or answered.
• Comments can be interesting or not
• Comments can be annoying or intrusive
• Comments can make you think and appreciate the posts more.
• Comments can be from bots
• Comments make steemit more interesting to outsiders
• Comments can improve the depth and breadth of the post.
• Comments can instigate other posts.
• Commenting well can make people go to your feed, possibly follow you, and maybe upvote a post or two, especially if you are new with low payouts.

• You can be involved in making comments on other people's posts
• You can reward and encourage comments on your own posts if you have an upvote of value or if you use @steem-bounty (advanced move)

Commenting for rewards

When you make a comment and someone upvotes it, you get an “author reward” just as if you were rewarded on a post. The blockchain sees comments just like it sees posts and treats them 100% the same.

Where to comment for money on the steem blockchain

This is what I know and can remember as I am writing this post. I know others will come and give more ideas. Be sure to check the comments below for more places that pay for comments.

This necessarily means your comments must be excellent. If your comment is weak – do not bother to make it.

  Motivational guy with a huge gang of people taking and upvoting each other on deep topics.

• @curie
  Sign up for their program for noobs. Make 5 comments a week from the posts at this place

  You might get 1 STEEM a week from them and possible upvotes on your comments from the people you comment on. If nothing else, you will be seeing the cream of the STEEM crop. Make your posts like these people and will will have a better chance to succeed.

• @pifc Pimp Your Post Contests
  Link a good post to their weekly Pimp Your Post Contests and visit others who also did. This is a really good place to get to know.

• @mermaidvampire
  All kinds of commenting action over here. Participate and win. This girl is awesome. Too many details for this post to handle, so just imagine that.

On Mondays Only

• @braaiboy
  Go to this blog and post a photo of your BBQ meal or as it cooks. Get in early for a sure win; late for a maybe win. sbi and inciniboost votes will come your way now. Totally worth the trip in many ways.
• @oleg326756 needs your comment and 0.05 STEEM for an upvote, and visit @scrooger at the same time.

Tips for Commenting with low SP

• Post your daily post FIRST each day. Do nothing else until it is done. Do not read comments, do not check your wallet, do not check your feed. Get the blinders on and get that post out there! This advice goes from now until forever. The first post of every day is the first priority of every day.
• The first post of every day is the first priority of every day. Yeah. I said it again. Until death do us part. Ine day when you forget and get distracted and never get your post out. Please remember me and do do that again.
• Never edit your post or comment with low RC. Proofread and do not waste your RC. An edit costs as much as the original post did in RC.
• Monitor payouts at https://steemnow.com/@yourusername and do not empty your wallet often. You do not need to see the money yet and it costs rc. The money is there; just leave it for once a week maybe on Monday before visiting @oleg326756.

Some more good ideas:

• Join the curation contest of @abh12345. This takes a one time only comment. Just watch the weekly post and learn from it for now.
• Join the Redfish Power UP League of @paulag she will help you get to 500 SP fast. Really!
• After you have done a few posts, visit the @thedarkhorse and make your case about what your are doing here in a comment. He might get you close to 100 sp for a month of delegation and this will really help you succeed.
