Most writing advice boils down to one boring truth: show up every day. Ecency's daily quests exist to make that easier. They live at ecency.com/perks on the web and in the Perks dashboard in the mobile app, and they turn the things you already do on Hive into small daily goals, a running streak, and free Points.
This is the full guide: what the quests are, how streaks work, and how Streak Freeze keeps a bad day from erasing a good year.
Open ecency.com/perks while logged in and you will see six daily quests:
Check in. Open Ecency and use it while logged in. Check-ins record automatically, no button to press, and they are the foundation of your streak.
Publish a post. One post for the day.
Leave comments. Three genuine comments.
Curate posts. Upvote ten posts you actually like.
Reblog a post. Share one post worth sharing with your followers.
Daily spin. One free spin a day, with prizes up to 200 Points.
There are also weekly goals (posts, comments, votes, reblogs across the week) and a monthly posting goal, so a slow day does not sink the bigger picture.
Ecency has rewarded activity with Points for years. The quest tracker does not replace that, it makes it visible. Every quest maps to an action that already earns Points: posting, commenting, voting, reblogging, checking in, spinning. Complete the goals and the Points follow automatically, no claiming ritual required beyond your normal routine.
Two details worth knowing:
Early actions earn the most. Rewards for repeated actions taper off within the day, so ten thoughtful votes beat a hundred rapid-fire ones. The quest goals are sized to the rewarding range on purpose.
The day resets at 00:00 UTC. Progress bars and daily rewards reset then, not at your local midnight. If your streak logic ever seems off by a day, this is usually why.
Check-ins have a bonus of their own: they accumulate over time and at regular milestones you get an extra Points drop just for consistently showing up.
Finish every daily quest and you also earn a checkmark next to your name on the daily leaderboard. No extra Points, just proof you did the full round. It is rarer than you would think. With recent @ecency.stats posts, we are featuring Questers daily and sharing post rewards via beneficiary, extra reward, extra motivation.
Your streak is simple: consecutive days with at least one check-in. Check in today and yesterday, that is a two day streak. Miss a day, it resets to zero. The flame counter on the Perks page shows your current run and your best streak is tracked alongside it.
Because a check-in only requires opening Ecency while logged in, keeping a streak alive costs you almost nothing. You do not need to post daily to hold a streak, you just need to show up. Posting daily is what the post quest is for.
If a day is slipping away and you have not checked in yet, Ecency flags your streak as at risk on the Perks page and sends a reminder notification, so a streak rarely dies by accident while you are paying attention. The days it dies are the ones when you cannot pay attention: travel, illness, a dead battery. That is what Streak Freeze is for.
A Streak Freeze is a small safety net you buy with Points on the Perks page. It sits in reserve and does nothing until you miss a day. When that happens, the freeze is consumed automatically and your streak continues as if the day never slipped. There is nothing to activate and nothing to remember in the moment.
The details:
Price: 300 Points each.
Limit: you can hold up to two at a time.
Automatic: a held freeze covers the next missed day on its own. It is not a pause button you press before a holiday.
Replaceable: after one is used, buy another whenever you like, back up to the limit of two.
Two is deliberate. Unlimited freezes would make streaks meaningless, zero makes them brutal. Two covers a bad weekend without letting anyone fake a habit.
The one rule that matters: buy it before you need it. A freeze does nothing for the day you already missed. If you are sitting on a streak you would hate to lose, pick one up now, while you do not need it.

If you want a simple daily loop, this one takes ten minutes:
Open Ecency. Your check-in records itself and your streak is safe.
Take the free spin.
Vote on ten posts you genuinely rate, leave three real comments, reblog the best thing you read.
Publish when you have something to say. The weekly and monthly goals leave room to write on your own schedule.
Do that most days, hold a freeze or two for the days you cannot and the Points balance builds itself while you build an audience the slow, durable way. On Hive, every one of those posts lands in an archive you permanently own, which is what makes the daily habit compound.
