My Valentine was done on journalism field sampling people's opinions about the celebration of the day especially in Damaturu, Yobe State. It was fun as some people said Valentine's Day is a day for boyfriend and girlfriend, some said it's meant for lovers, friends and families to express true and genieu love while some even said they have never heard about a day called Valentine's Day and have never participated in it due to their culture and religion (Islamic) IMG_20180214_140110.jpg

Truly Yobe State is a strict state when it comes to culture and very sensitive when it comes to religion so nothing was celebrated yesterday and I felt so bad to see everywhere dried coz in Ibadan where I lived, party would have been thrown and the city center would have been flooded with white and red clothes!.

Though I was not so moved about it as my fiance neither my family is here to take me out or buy me a gift to make the day remarkable but neither do I know that a Fulani man who is a boss and a colleague in office was preparing a gift for me.

And this was what I got from a Fulani man for my Val gift...... So happy I was able to take something home after an hectic day. 馃槝馃槝馃槉馃槉.

To me Valentine's Day is a day of love, peace and reconciliation... You mind and heart should be free and be ready to make sacrifice for something's to be in place. I wish us an unending love my fellow steemian.

Happy Valentine's Day in arrears. Love you so much
