I made this drawing depicting a lion resting with its head upside down.This drawing was made to show one of the most important activities in s lions day. Lions spend most time of their day resting and sleeping while the lioness do most of the hunting. I made this drawing to practice detailing and drawing of mane and fur.
I used a black ball point pen and pelican paper for this drawing.
Here are the steps involved;
I started by drawing the outline of the lion and then I added all the essential facial features and began shading the mane.
Next, I began shading and adding details to the face and mane.
Finally, I shaded and added details to the remaining parts of the face and the surrounding.
