Hello Hivians. I hope you're all doing great.
I'd like to share this pen drawing of a lion I made just a while ago. The drawing depicts a lion dusting off dirt from its mane. This is a typical wild scene that can be observed when there are particles, insects or dirts in the mane causing irritation. I made this drawing to practice how drawing of furs and flow of hair.
I used a black ball point pen and pelican paper for this drawing
Here are the steps involved;
First, I drew the outline of the lion and added all its facial features.
Next, I shaded all the dark areas of it's body and mane.
Finally, I added details and tones to it's face, mane and rest of it's body until I got a satisfactory result. I also drew some grasses to depict a wildlife scene.
Thank you for reading and viewing my drawing. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
