Earlier today, I made this drawing of one of my favorite wild animals, the brown bear. Although we've grown up to think bears are harmless furry animals we cuddle, but in real sense, they are one of the most dangerous animals in the wild. Their wild jaws and sharp claws make them incredible hunters of prey ranging from fishes, rodents, herbivores and unfortunately, even humans. The drawing depicts a brown bear sticking out it's tongue while yawning.
I made this drawing to practice drawing of furs and detailing using ink medium on pelican paper.
Here are the steps involved;
First, I drew the outline of the bear and added its facial features. At this stage, I thought this was gonna be one of those drawings I'll have to put away because of it's complexity.
Next, I began shading and added details of fur to its body starting from the face.
To complete the drawing, I kept shading and adding details of fur by flowing the initial fur pattern I had drawn from the start until I got a satisfactory result.
Thank you for reading and checking out my drawing. Stay Safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
