The garden is not the biggest but has been here for over 70 years. Which means some of the "exotic "plants have grown quite big. There is a park and a greenhouse.
"Parrota persica" This tree is home in north Persia and south Azerbaijan. Today it can be found in various places away from its home. This one probably is still among the oldest in Germany. The trees branches morph together in places where they touch each other. This way the branches can built triangular and rectangular shapes.
This Sequoia Sempervirens comes from Oregon and California USA. Its the tallest tree in the middle of the picture.
A closer look from underneath
Because of its 28 Celsius,in the winter the greenhouse is a warm shelter from the cold outside.
These two turtles were unusually curious and came to greet us. I think they are hand-fed too make sure they don麓t starve and associate humans with food.
"Aloidendron dichotomum" originally grows in Namibia and South Africa. This one has been growing in the greenhouse since the 1950s.
