The internationally recognisable harp logo and name of the most famous Irish beer in the world. Guinness. I don't particularly like Guinness. It tastes like crap to me.. but strangely, when you go to Dublin, and you go to the brewery and wander the exhibits and end up in the bar upstairs for your complementary pint of Guinness, you learn that Guinness tastes better in Ireland. I liked it! It was nice. So what the hell happens to Guinness in transit that makes it taste not as good back home?

I suspect that the bar staff in other places just don't know how to treat Guinness right to keep that good Irish taste. So as you can imagine, I was in Dublin, Ireland for a weekend and I made damn sure that I allocated a good afternoon to visiting the Guinness brewery. This is a shot I took with my iPhone of the Guinness sign pointing to the Guinness Storehouse, which is essentially where they keep ALL THE BEER. All the world's Guinness is made and stored here before it goes out across the globe to thirsty lovers of the Irish nectar.
