Today, I went with my students to the retirement home one last time, since the school year is almost over. We got the chance to hang out with the grandmas and granddads that currently live there, and we spent the day, like many afternoons before, sharing life stories and lots of joyful experiences.
We prepared two songs with the students, as we had done throughout the entire year, and sang them all together but this time, the radio workshop came along with us, and we were able to record this incredible experience.
As usual, once the visit came to an end, they invited us to have a snack. Hot chocolate and cake, which they had generously bought at the bakery.
Fun fact: the cake has a grammatical error. Can you spot it?
“Hasta la proccima” should be "hasta la próxima", which translates to "until the next time". Yeah, big mistake.
We hope to return next year, although it doesn't depend on the students nor me but the school principal instead.
One thing is sure, though; they are going to welcome us once more with their arms wide open.
