     Otra señal de que los bateadores están entrando en calor, son los marcadores abultados. Ayer se produjeron 4 pizarras de doble dígitos. Una de ellas fue la del encuentro en el Chase Field de Phoenix, entre los Gigantes de San Francisco y los Diamondbacks de Arizona, en un duelo de competidores directos de división. Alguien que ha sido oportuno al bate en el roster ofidio desde que regresó de una lesión, ha sido el receptor venezolano Gabriel Moreno, a quien se le nota muy cómodo en el plato haciendo swings fluidos. En la baja de la quinta y ya ganando los Backs por 7 a 2, Gabriel se ocupó de abultar el marcador consiguiendo a Ildemaro Vargas embasado y largando un estacazo por encima de la pared del jardín izquierdo, al castigar una slider a 87 MPH. 12 a 2 fue el marcador final, el cual dictaminó la superioridad de Arizona sobre San Francisco, quien se alejó a 9.5 de los Padres, mientras que los ofidios se acercaron a 5.5 juegos de los clérigos. Ayer, sus rivales de división y líderes Bravos de Atlanta, fueron recibidos en el Loan Depot Park, escenario donde Venezuela se coronó campeón mundial en el WBC hace dos meses. Y los poderosos Bravos no solamente salieron blanqueados, sino que el natural de Maracay se ocupó de abultar un marcador de 7 a 0, consiguiendo las bases congestionadas en el cierre del 5to. El chico se paró en la goma y en cuenta igualada 1-1, le hizo swing a una recta de 4 costuras a 91 MPH, haciendo que la pelota viajara de línea por encima de la pared del jardín izquierdo y poniendo las cosas 11-0 para la algarabía del público asistente.
