Su equipaje lo manejar铆an por ella y el capit谩n vocifer贸 en el altavoz, la invitaci贸n de salir a cubierta para ver alejar el puerto. No sab铆a por cual raz贸n la gente saludaba el barco al pasar desde las orillas, supon铆a melancol铆a por no poder acompa帽ar el viaje.
聽聽聽聽聽La tarde arreciaba y el fr铆o comenz贸 apretar, pero no le hizo renunciar en la aventura de conocer el barco a fondo de proa a popa. Camila se deleitaba por ver a las parejas noruegas y a los turistas disfrutar el desplazamiento inicial. Se dio cuenta que hab铆a tomado una buena decisi贸n al contratar lo mejor disponible. Era una inversi贸n enorme para ella, pero lo merec铆a. Ten铆a ya tres a帽os sin tomar vacaciones y el momento lleg贸 de no postergar m谩s lo que ten铆a planeado. El olor a sal marina mezclada con diesel le sac贸 una pregunta 驴Por qu茅 si los noruegos eran l铆deres en conservaci贸n ambiental, todav铆a usaban ese tipo de combustible?

She lowered her suitcase from the Uber that had transported her from the hotel to the terminal and hurried to the shipping company's counter. She checked his papers and filled out the formalities before embarking on his dream adventure of cruising the Norwegian fjords. She was assigned her cabin and answered the call to board the ship. Her luggage would be handled for her and the captain shouted on the loudspeaker, the invitation to go out on deck to see the port move away. Cerca de la una de la ma帽ana se fue a dormir porque la niebla apag贸 el espect谩culo nocturno.
聽聽聽聽聽A la ma帽ana siguiente ella entr贸 al ba帽o, se visti贸 y sali贸 a cubierta, antes de ir a desayunar. La nave resbalaba sobre las quietas aguas oscuras y las imponentes paredes de rocas se ergu铆an sobre el barco como si fueran a caer sobre ella. Intimidante de verdad. Las pocas veces que hab铆an claros, se ve铆an casas en las orillas muy lindas pero aisladas. En esos claros el verde reinaba. Por alguna raz贸n, la gente del barco estaba bajo un hechizo que no les dejaba hablar 驴ser铆a lo imponente de los fiordos? Lo que era cierto para Camila era que nadie pod铆a quedar indiferente ante aquel espect谩culo. De pronto ten铆a sentido que los pueblos vikingos reinaran por estas latitudes.

La sirena del barco le sobresalt贸 por lo poderoso del sonido. Era el peor sitio del barco para estar cuando sonaba. Decidi贸 irse a la proa y preferir铆a ver la estela dejada por la nao mientras avanzaba. Ella se sent贸 en una mesa mientras la neblina espesa se colaba hasta all铆. No recordaba algo parecido desde su ni帽ez cuando hab铆a subido a las tierras altas del Nevado del Ruiz.
聽聽聽聽聽聽Se qued贸 dormida y la despert贸 el fr铆o intenso. Camila corri贸 al camarote a cambiarse por ropa t茅rmica, no pod铆a seguir as铆. Con el calor del cuerpo recuperado y ayudada por una barra de chocolate del mini-bar, ella sali贸 nuevamente para ir almorzar. Pero no hab铆a nadie en los pasillos ni en el restaurante 驴Qu茅 pas贸? Se fue a la cubierta superior y parec铆a que las personas se hab铆an evaporado. La bruma continuaba sobre el barco y era m谩s espesa que nunca 驴habr铆an viajado a otra dimensi贸n? Decidi贸 ir al puente de mando pero nadie estaba all铆 y todos los mandos parec铆an funcionar en autom谩tico. Un escalofr铆o le recorri贸 el cuerpo y al mirar hacia el horizonte, ella lanz贸 un grito aterrador: un abismo se cern铆a sobre el barco.
