Today i will be showing us some of my beautiful and colourful photography shorts of Ekombi Dancers, hope you enjoy it. 
EKOMBI DANCE
The Ekombi is a traditional dance of the Efik people in Nigeria and it is inspired by the movements of the the Ocean. The dance communicates a message and mood of Peace and Happiness.
Ekombi dance is a unique Nigeria ethnic dance of Peace.
In 2009 while i was still a student at Yaba College of Tecnology, Yaba Lagos Nigeria, in painted Ekombi dancers using basic shapes, African motifs, figures and poster colours to make the work beautiful. Titled: Our culture our Pride By Femi Ogunleye (
Ekombi is an incredible footwork dance of Peace.
The Ekombi dance comes with beautiful and colourful costume.
The instrumentation also comes with Happiness and Peace.
The Efik are an ethnic group located primarily in Southern Nigeria and Western Cameroon.
Efik can be found in the present day Cross River State and Akwa Ibom State Nigeria.
I love this culture and the dance.
