I am attempting to write at least 500 words a day. I call it the Felt.Buzz Five Hundred (or #feltbuzz500. I write a five-minute freewrite and then add more words to get to the magic number...
The prompt is "twist and turn"

I felt nauseous. My stomach felt as though it was on some kind of insane rollercoaster, going up and dropping quickly, before making a twist, and a turn.
"Stop the car," I said, pulling at the door handle. The central locking prevented it from opening.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Becca's eyes flicked from the road ahead to me and back again. "Shit, you look awful."
I gagged and clamped my hands to my mouth as though that would stop the eruption of vomit I could feel churning within me.
"I'm going to be sick. Stop the fucking car."
She pulled over to the side of the road to a cacophony of horns from fellow drivers inconvenienced at the sudden move. She pushed a button and the door lock clicked, I opened the door and leaned out chucking up into the grassy verge. There was a lot of it. It burned as it came up. I looked at it, steam rising from the sloppy mix.
…
“Oh dear God,” Becca said, passing me a bottle of water. “It’s fucking luminous orange. What the fuck have you been eating?”
I took a glug of the cool liquid, swilling it around my mouth before spitting it out. I then took a sip and swallowed that. My stomach twisted again but I kept it down.
“I don’t think it is anything I ate,” I said. She looked at me. I took another swig of water and tried to give the bottle back to her. She shook her head.
“Keep it,” she said. “And keep whatever you have. Is it contagious?”
I shook my head.
“I came into contact with something last night. But I can’t tell you about it. All I can say is that you aren’t in any danger. But I will probably be dead in the next…” I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the countdown app, Jenkins had installed. “Forty minutes or so.”
She laughed. It sounded false to both of us and she stopped almost as soon as she began.
“You aren’t joking, are you? When were you going tell me, Dave?”
“I’m telling you now.”
“For fucksake. We need to get you to the hospital.”
“No good,” I said. “Take me to the lake, like I asked you to.”
“But you’re dying.”
“I know. I told you that.”
“But-”
“Nothing is going to stop me dying, Becca. But I need to do something first. It is very important. Please help me.
She bit her lip clearly wondering whether whatever was killing me was affecting my judgment.
“You will be doing the right thing, helping me,” I said. “Please Becca.”
She took another moment while I watched the seconds tick away on my phone app. Then she nodded, turned the key and pulled the car into the lane much to the annoyance of the car behind, who beeped and flashed us, then pulled past, sticking a finger out of the window as he did so.
(Today I wrote… exactly 500 words!)
As usual I wrote the freewrite in five minutes using themostdangerouswritingapp.com and then copied and pasted it into a googledoc, tied it up a bit and then wrote more words!
