Among bottles and soaps, a #TBT Thursday.

Happy Throwback Thursday, dear community. Greetings to Professor lanzjoseg@lanzjoseg and my friend theshot2414@theshot2414, who inspired me to share these memories, starting with the first photo in this post.

Looking back, I came across this photo that, at the time, stirred emotions and perhaps even envy among those unaware of the story hidden behind the surface.

December 2017, Venezuela: shortages and hardships; when the power doesn't go out, it's the water, and back then it was the gas.

We improvised a wood-burning stove and, further back, a chicken coop.

Clo and Chester were the first tenants, providing us with some eggs and chickens for the pot; eventually, they themselves ended up in the pot to make way for some ducks that promised to fatten up at a lower cost. I reckon the entertainment they provided was more than the protein. Luckily, we were selling some soaps and bottles of rum with ponsigue, which added to everything else.

Looking for bottles to bottle the traditional liquor, some customers gave me the wine and cider boxes in the first image, and some others that were about to be thrown away because they had gone flat or were spoiled and unfit for consumption.

Many of those bottles became the dressing for the chickens and ducks in the coop, which, despite their varied plumage, almost all ended up drinking wine, but most of them were transformed into another product of our diverse business: apple cider vinegar.

And so, amidst bottles and soap, we persevered as a united family, facing the adversity that the 21st century brought us, but that's another story.

This story could easily fit within the #BeEntrepreneur community, but we'll keep it as familiar as the protagonists themselves. Most of the images have already been shared on Facebook, where we promoted our ventures at the time. The English text was generated using Google Translate, as I only write in my native language, Spanish.
