¡Hola, Hiveans! 👋💓.

ENGLISH
Hello, Hiveans! 👋💓. Today I want to share with you a topic that I find very interesting and equally worrying, since surely most of us who are reading this post have experienced it at least once, but perhaps we did not know how to give it a name at the time, and this problem is as dangerous as common, so I think we should pay more attention and care, I speak of the dissociation of reality.
It should not be confused with the depersonalization of reality, which is another problem that is cataloged as more serious, but that may be another topic that I can cover in another post, you can tell me in the comments if you would like me to publish a topic about it in the comments. 🤗💙

DESCRIPTION, SYMPTOMS AND CAUSES
But now, let's move on to talk directly about our topic, Reality dissociation; this is a mental disorder that is characterized by a lack of awareness of oneself and one's surroundings, usually one feels as if they are floating or disconnected from their body, with their mind somewhere else entirely other than the body. Often, people who dissociate may also experience hallucinations, false memories or changes in the perception of their body. Dissociation is a natural defense mechanism that the brain uses to protect itself from traumatic or stressful experiences. However, in some people, this response becomes excessive or happens when there is no real threat. This may be due to previous trauma or a state of chronic stress.
Mental dissociation usually begins in adolescence or young adulthood. Sometimes the signs may present suddenly, after a serious event such as an assault, abuse or an accident. At other times, symptoms develop gradually, and may be influenced by a variety of environmental and personal factors, such as stress, anxiety, family problems, substance abuse, among many others.
The symptoms of dissociation can be very diverse. Some young people may experience hallucinations, delusions or false ideas. Others may have abrupt changes in mood or behavior, and may be very impulsive or aggressive. They may also have difficulty concentrating or remembering things, and may be affected by sleep or appetite disturbances, etc.
It is most often associated with other mental disorders, such as schizophrenia, and can be very dangerous if left untreated.
However, there is a specific population, college students, who are especially vulnerable to this disorder; as they are in a stage of life where they are experiencing a lot of change and stress.
If left untreated, dissociation from reality can lead to more serious mental disorders, such as schizophrenia, depression, substance abuse and could escalate to suicide.

Here are some tips to help you manage this disorder in order to decrease the constant stress or pressure in your life.
Identify the situations that cause you stress and try to avoid them or reduce them as much as possible.
Learn relaxation techniques and practice them as often as possible.

Try to maintain a daily routine and regular sleep schedule.
Get exercise and eat a healthy diet.
Avoid alcohol and drugs, as they can make symptoms worse.
Stay in touch with your loved ones and talk to them about how you feel.
With treatment, many people who dissociate can regain a sense of connection with reality and significantly improve their quality of life. This can be a very serious disorder, but if treated properly, you can lead a normal, healthy life. If you feel you cannot handle the disorder on your own, seek professional help.
