Hi great people,
It's another fresh month and a new week before us. I celebrate everyone especially the management of this community for their consistency in engaging us.
I must say that immediately I went on the discord channel and found this theme on the siblings, I had to take some deep breath in order to reinforce my self.
It's a timely topic which made me to reflect deeply before putting up this write up.
This is my response in accordance to the week 69 edition 1. Every human beings is created by default to appreciate one thing or the other. I meant the power of choice is inherit in every creature. Making wishes too is also natural and as such, i would like to share my thoughts on the subject of the week.
I had the privilege to be the fifth member of my nuclear family but as the days keeps going bye, two have gone to be with the Lord leaving the four of us alone. Hmmm this becomes a matter of concern to me and keeps me in the position of wishing they had not died so that we enjoy all the refreshing moments together.
I wished I had my siblings complete till now without anyone dieing but I'm not God to control everything. The role of siblings in one's life can't be overemphasized. Sometimes no matter the kind of friendship one keeps with people outside the corridor of his household it can't be quantified with the kind of relationship that can be exhibited by siblings.
I really enjoyed my siblings from the time I grew to know them till now because my parents didn't struggle to fix certain things over my life again because I could just see the godly virtues from their lifestyle. Every form of discipline needed was given by my elder ones therefore the house was like a potter's house for me that really chisel my life to a better me. Aside the moral impartation, they also help to guide me academically where I needed to make deliberate choices of subjects/courses to study.
I also learnt how to manage myself financial life because one of my siblings studied accountancy in his first degree studies. He was a financial mentor that I can not easily forget in a haste. Through his counsel, j had been able to build my financial muscle and financial independence which resulted to my development presently.
I'm very proud of my siblings and I never wished whether more siblings would have been added and I like the number of children my father had. The number is just unique and everyone had a unique gift that really permeated even through my life. I can't forget even my kid sister who is married now. She is very good at music and that also rubbed on me to an extent I went and sang somewhere i received my first honorarium which made me shout ha! So I can translate what I learnt from my kid sister to something meaningful like this?
Siblings are like strong life support or anchor that one can rely on. I have seen, I have tested and I just shared my experience and wish.
