Being obedient the will of God is something we should never take for granted. If we read from old to new testament we will understand that those who obey God end up finding good fortune while those who disobey his will ends up in hardship. Obedience is not merely about following rules but about cultivating a heart that trusts God completely, even when His instructions are difficult to understand.
As a good Christians we are called to be obedient to God because he is our creator. Scripture emphasizes that true devotion is demonstrated through action, not just words.
James 1:22 “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Another form of obedience is to accept that only God knows the future and his wisdom surpass our own. At times, following God may mean going against personal desires or societal expectations. Yet, the Bible assures that obedience brings blessings and spiritual growth. In Deuteronomy, we see this promise:
Deuteronomy 28:1–2 “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands… all these blessings will come on you and accompany you.”
